Do you feel that you're eternally indebted to them?

My mom was my main teacher as well as my dad. I don't think there's even a remotely suitable type of recompensation except to not that knowledge go to waste.

My parents. I used to read to my parents at night, before I even went to school. All the other kids would get Nintendo games etc. my parents never bought me that stuff but they would always buy me any book I wanted.

My mom. No I don't feel like I'm eternally indebted to her because she was just doing what a good mother does. I do appreciate it though.

My kindergarten teacher taught me how. I don't feel indebted to her, she was compensated. I owe the debt to my parents, for teaching me to love reading.

I guess my teachers. I don't remember my parents teaching me to do that. Hm, have never thought about being eternally indebted to them. Hm, how ungrateful, huh? Glad you did.

my parents and grandparents taught me the basics of reading and writing. the more intense stuff came later in school, and yes, I guess i do in a way feel i owe them something. without them, i am sure i would have still learned how to read and write, but probably much later in life. i wasn't a very good student in school.
