Yes you do need directions and a plan. Also check becuase you may need to meet local building codes and get a permit. You'll need 2x4's for the sides, plywood for the floors, some sort of siding for walls. You'll need shingles or metal for the roof. You'll also want doors, so add in a door and/or door hardware.

Make it 8x8, if you don't you just throw away the extra two feet from the sheets of plywood. Use plywood right now, it is only slightly higher than OSB and you will have few problems. Then you need your 2x4's and some shingles for he roof. If you make it 6x6 you will hardly get your mower into it.

Check with your local government. Probably no permit needed for that size, but you'll never know until you ask them.
