My ferret has no biting tendencies, or EVER gets angry, in the 11 mos I've had him, he's been the sweetest, cuddly thing ever... up until recently, been noticing that his treats come with raisins in the box... and I give him 1 raisin, and if I put my hand next to his mouth, he squeaks very loudly and jumps and hisses between him chewing the raisin. Now he doesn't do that with any other treat in the package only the raisins. I think it's hilarious, and quite entertaining since he never acts this way any other time, except over the raisins. Does anyone have any clue as to why he gets so agressive over the raisin treat and not any other treat?

that is obviously his favorite and ferrets are territorial by nature he is letting you know that is his back off! my 2 do that over toys it is cute. just be careful not to do it too much or get to close he might stop verbally warning you and get you real good my friends ferret is that way about playing i tried to play with him and he lunged at me and bit down hard!! but i asked for it he thought i wantd to bother him .
