As you probably know, there is no cure for the common cold, you simply cant get rid of it. There is a saying that goes: Feed a cold, starve a fever, so carry on eating as best you can. Drink plenty of fluids. Stuff like lemsip and beechams products are a great help. And you can get tablets that help to dry up a cold, sorry cant remember what they are called but ask your pharmacist, they will know. If you like curry, have a hot curry, that helps. The best lozenges that you can get for a sore throat are called merocaine, they are an anaesthetic as well, and beat strepsils by a long shot. Hope your cold f**ks off soon! :o)

eep takings the strepsils. You will feel their effect tomorrow.Take Cod Liver Oil. Drink lots of very hot drinks...preferrably Blackcurrant with lemon and honey and a tablespoon of brandy or Lemon with a little honey and brandy . Don' t eat rice or spicey food....don't take heavy food...it is better if you just have soups and fruit and fruit juice but not cold...tepid. Anything that will slide down your throat easily Chicken broth is also very good for you. Night and Day Nurse medicines are also good.

Keep drinking liquids, keep eating, take a vitamen with each meal, get plenty of rest, go to GNC and get some Oregano Oil, its been proven to help kill the common cold/flu. Try aspergum for the sore throat, itll help alot. Get some Afrin for the stuffy nose and Nyquil for at night, so you can sleep. Dont avoid any foods, eat all you can to keep your strength.

If you have a fever for more than 2 days, you need to go to the doc. Most likely an infection. Same goes for the sore throat, if it lasts for more than 2 days, go to the doc.

avoid milk, ice cream-cause phlegm. Avoid sodas. If you drink nothing but water for 3 days, you'll get much better. Try going vegan for 2 days max. Then you'll be much better.
palliative care would be cepacol-lemon sore throat drops.
Time tested cures these are. Enjoy. God Bless

gargle with tcp or salty water several times a day, drink plenty of non alcohol fluids, try some olbas oil in hot water lean over and slowly inhale the mist, careful not to burn yourself of course. eat what you normally would, when you have cold symptoms you tend not to eat too harsh foods like toast etc that could irritate your throat as you swallow. get plenty of sleep if possible.

Try boiling ginger root in coca-cola for ten minutes and sipping that. It relieves a sore throat and is soothing.

The cold has to run its course--there's no cure, just as there's no cure for the flu. Rest and fluids and vitamins.

best thing to try to do is gargle with salt and warm water, take a couple of aspirins every few hours and drink lots of fluids (orange juice is great as it replenishes your vitamin c levels) also get chloraseptic spray and use it frequently. i have found it to be a life saver
