Diet and exercise man. First thing you need to do is drop about 50lbs though before you start a hard core workout regiment. I would diet first by cutting out all the sugar in your diet. You will lose weight right quick doing that. This means no white breads, no cookies, no candy,no doughnuts, no pizza,no regular sodapop, no alcohol, no potatoes etc.. You can only eat whole grain breads and protein. Lots of protein. For exercise I would start walking an hour a day. Once you lose those 50lbs now you can get into a workout regiment. This means lifting weights, doing cardio ie running, biking, swimming, walking, aerobics etc. After about 6 months of this you should be ready to go. You will have to deligent about it though. No cheating. Just stay focused and you will lose that weight quick enough. You didn't say how tall you were. If you are over 6 foot I would forget wrestling and I would look into becoming an Offensive Linemen. God they can't get enough Offensive Linemen especially good ones. There is such a need for Offensive Linemen and if you are a bigger guy I would look into a sport change.. Good luck I hope this helps. See you in the NFL..

There are lots of ways to get back on track but you are going to have to work hard. I am sure with you being a past wrestler you know one of the tricks and this is the trick that always helped me lose weight after having my kids. Spit As much as you can it seriously helps. Eats less at meal times. I always just had a bagel for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and eat good healthy dinner, vegetables are a must. And the hardest part is exercise, and exercise more. Running is the best way to lose weight I believe, but find a comfortable way to exercise your stomach I love the ab lounge. Good luck I hope you can get to the size that you want to be.

I have done some research in this area myself and there are two paths you can take...crash diets or the healthy way.
I am no doctor or professional in this area but the main difference is that crash diets are fast and temporary but the healthy way (the way I just decided to try) is slow frustrating but THE POUNDS STAY OFF.

I recommend joining a gym, having a fitness assessment and meet with a nutrionist - beware they might try to hook you into buying a personal trainer - if you can afford it go for it because they do help.

It is hard, i am not gonna BS you - the progess you make is slow n steady but keep these words in mind (cliche I know) but if you put a drop of water in a bucket eventually you get a bucket full of water...one pound here and there eventually adds up.

Good Luck!!!!

Just like you did when you gained the weight, you ate more and did nothing, now you have to rewind the tape. You now need to eat less and do more, just that simple and you will take it off just like you put it on. Now remember that you did not put on the weight in a few weeks, so naturally it will take you some time to take it off. Good Luck Big Boi in Texas and I hope you start your road to good health SOON!
