I like all three but I would have to say:

1. Psychological Thrillers
2. Demonic
3. Slasher

All three are great genres of your typical scary movies, but the psychological thrillers get me everytime. Slashers aren't too bad them selves and they just about tie with psycho thrillers. I'm not too into the demonics of movies!

Personally I laugh at two of the 3 types that have been listed. I don't know why exactly, but I just find them funny.

Psychological Thrillers are the best of the 3 in my opinion. Mainly because anyone can throw blood and guts around to make a movie, but something where you get the entire audience to be shocked to find out the killer was a little kitten... that's a thrill.

Slashers... well they're all the same... usually some kids are on some trip and through series of events show up in some region/area that is semi forgotten about. Then one by one the kids get picked off by someone or something. And you can always tell who's going to die next... "Don't go down that dark hallway all alone with the girl to make out!!"... next thing you know... they are dead. Slashers are just too predictable.

Demonic movies... I don't watch those... I personally find them disturbing. Such as the Exorcist series... they are not scary, but it's just disturbing to me.

But of course all of this is personal opinion.

I'm in agreement with on the first two; I can live without ever seeing another slasher movie. Actually, I like movies (and books) about the occult, but they have to be really well done. I forgot Ghost Movies too. But my favorites are actually the black & white movies from the 50s/60s - The Blob, Them, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and that old standard (even though it's not b&w), The Birds.

I love Psychological Thrillers, like early M. Night movies and Alfred Hitchcock....anyone can make slashers, but it takes skill to make movies that mess with your head.

The only ones that I will watch are psychological thrillers. You can keep the rest of that stuff!

You know which ones I like that you don't have listed? Movies that really scare the crap out of you? Movies about ghosts or the supernatural...some examples that come to mind are....Sixth Sense, Stir of Echos, so on and so forth

All of the above, as long as they don't suck. The order I like them is:
1. Demonic
2. Slasher
3. Psychological
