Seriously, just look at the mess humanity is in. Taking prayer out of schools, gay marriage, abortion...ect. People need to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and spiriual maturity. It's time to stand against the inner death of our nation.

Yes, people do need to grow spiritually - most everyone does, excluding monks, of course.
Prayer in schools - should be at the choice of the parent or child, not the schools or the government. Not everyone is of the same religion or belief system, and that needs to be respected. Prayer in schools is fine, dogma is not.
Gay marriage - if the world were bisexual, then we'd all be more spiritually advanced. I see nothing wrong with gay marriage, I see a lot wrong with marriage in general. Gay people should have every right to be as miserable married as every hetero couple.
Abortion, like children, should be a choice. Crack-whores certainly don't CHOOSE to have 9 babies - they wuz high when it happened. People who DO choose to have children sometimes have trouble conceiving. Where's the balance in that?

Balance and taking responsibility will not happen for those with the closed minds. Until you actually see people as being equal, as humans, not seperated by class or race. We're all humans, and our humanity starts out with how we are raised. Those with open minds question others and learn to think for themselves. Those with closed minds stay in their small town, with their one traffic light, their one Church, one school, and everybody knows everyone's business.
Only when you free your mind of constraints and complaints, can you truly grow spiritually and gain knowledge and wisdom.
Not all of humanity is in trouble. Most of it, and about 97% (being generous here) of the US citizens are in deep without a paddle.
Partisan politics mess up more than we think.
Born-again Christians cause a LOT of problems - mostly because they are so full of their own dogma and have no problem forcing it on other people

How open is YOUR mind?

People do need to grow in knowledge, wisdon, and maturity. which is something you have failed to do. just by reading your entire statement. Religion/Political BS is what caused the mess humanity is in. And when people can learn to get over their personal bigottry and quite blaming it on religion and political values. Then humanity will truely be saved from their own distruction.

Wow, that question did not go the way I expected it. I thought you were going to talk about global warming and social justice. But, you turned out to be on the other edge of the lunatic fringe. The problems that you listed are not the reason for the decline of our civilization (especially the first).

When people learn to accept each other for who they are, no strings attached....then we can talk about this!!! I mean you could be considered part of the problem, you are obviuosly very close minded about quite a few things!!!

You said it. "Taking prayer out of schools, gay marriage, abortion...ect."

Things have to go wrong to make them right. When our nation(s) die, then we can be reborn anew. I wish it was all over with already. I can wait to see how much worse it gets.

Never. It has been customary for humanity to just dig the hole deeper instead of fixing the hole.
