The scariest movie in the world was white chicks cuz it proves that its ok for black people to make fun of white people but if we were to make a movie called black chicks we would be racist hmmm

I don't understand why so many people say that exorcist is the scariest movie ever. When I saw it, i thought all the scenes of the possessed girl where kinda creepy and evil and everything, but i didn't feel in any way that it "shook" me. Im not saying it not scary but it didnt do anything for me. I think the exorcist was a product of its time. people were generally more religous at the time and probably believed something like that could happen.
I'm sure their is other factors as well.

In chronological order:
The Haunting 1963
The Exorcist 1973
Poltergeist 1982
Alas, I've seen all of them so often, that they no longer hold the fascination they once did.
I admit that Poltergeist scared the crap out of me, my daughter and her friend the first time we saw it. We could barely force ourselves out of the theater. We stopped to have a snack there in the mall because we were too shaken to get in the car and drive. None of us were kids. I was 42, my daughter and her friend were 22 and 24.
Please! Somebody! Come out with a new favorite for me!

I LOVE scary movies. I'd have to say.. Final Destination, or the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

There was a TV movie when I was kid called Trilogy of Terror, and the last story was about this Zuni doll trying to kill this woman in her home. That is still one of the scariests things I've ever seen!

NightMare on Elm Street scared the bejeezus out of me. It didn't help that I LIVED on Elm Street! My second and third would have to be the Omen and Children of the Corn. If I had seen them BEFORE I had kids, I wouldn't have had any!
