Is it legal for a company to not give you a copy of your performance appraisal? As I understood it, if you have to sign your name on a document, your entitled to a copy. By the way, I work for a very large law firm. Thanks.

Legally you are entitled to a copy of almost every item that is kept within your Employee File.

Just ask your boss if you can have a copy for your files at home. Unless they think you are going to leave their employ, I cannot reason why they would not you to have a copy
