I actually heard it was Michael Winner, and i think this is true!!!! All the clues about him point to him too (i.e posh voice, asking older women out) I believe it is him.
However, you may be right. The MEN site has this article on the guy out of corrie...

Well, you can never actually hear a real voice at any point. And I think banker is just cockney rhyming slang. So, probably Noel himself.
