Yes they should be fined but chances are they aren't gonna be fined, just some silly apologies and everything will be 'brushed under the carpet'. They should also consider getting better trained referee's for the world cup, coz they quality in this years was appalling I don't think i need to go into it. If they bring better referee's players may still get some better protection when there are no nonsense referee's. Have you just seen the news recently? The FIFA chairman has just apologised to Australia over the silly penalty the referee gave to Italy which knocked Australia out of the world cup. Hello? It was 4 months ago, its taken 4 months to say sorry?!

What do you call injured, a broken leg or taken off the field on a stretcher? When an injury happens, it doesn't always keep the player from finishing his match. We were witnessed to some bad headbanging or a slight twist of the ankle which takes a while to recover, but they do want to make sure that it is safe to come back. Yes, there are a few fakes but it is a minimal number.

It would make sense to fine them, but it would be hard to sort out the liars from the actualy injured. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal...You pretend to be injured, you get taken off, they add stoppage time, the end. That's how I see it as far as this goes...It's always going to happen and a lot of times you will never know. So, you can't risk making any judgements...If it is really obvious, then that is why the refs carry around yellow and red cards.

Yes I agree with you. The ones that really make me boil are the ones that are either helped off the field or carried off, only to come sprinting back on a couple of minutes later. Maybe if they were fined for wasting time they would think twice before doing it again, but the fine would have to be BIG enough to make the Football Players take notice of what has happened. Well that's my opinion for what its worth.

i totally agree as this is cheating and it is unjust as well as unfair on the decent teams who actually play a clean game of football. personally if they are deemed to have been cheating they should be banned for the next game and fined 2 weeks wages

How would they police that? I've fallen over before and it was agony, but I haven't damaged myself. You can't really tell if someone is injured unless they have broken something or badly sprained something.
