Its probably stopped off at the golden arches for an EggMcmuffin the cannibalistic tardy feathered freak!
By the way EggMcmuffin comes out as Agamemnon on the spell check.

The early bird catches the worm but the early worm gets eaten, so being early doesn't accomplish anything. Anyway, to answer the question, they get to eat the food that all us nice humans put put for them (because we are never up when the early birds have breakfast)

Late birds...will go hungry.
Or, find some unsuspecting ant or cricket on the ground.
Or, become a victim of a scientific experiment, quadruple their size, and eat the early bird/a human/stones.

This just goes to prove that the worm should have stayed in bed!
I guess the late birds eat the slow worms. (Cos the slow-worms can,t run very fast!)

They eat flying insects, like flying ants which take off on warm early evening. And moths which fly at night towards the moon, so as they can be there for the birds to eat.

They have the bread and nuts that kindly people put out for them, also it is non mouldy bread and it is put on a purpose built bird table, at least in my garden. I thought everyone knew not to throw bread, mouldy or otherwise, outside their back door, unless they want to encourage the rats as well.
