Build a romantic fire. Before the kids go to bed, have fun roasting marshmallows. After their lights are out, host your own indoor picnic, complete with a bottle of wine and chocolate- covered strawberries.
Recreate your first date together. What were you wearing? Where did you go? Do you remember what you talked about? Spend the evening reminiscing and reflecting on how far you've come as a couple.
Spoon all night.
Choose a book in which you are both interested, fiction or nonfiction. Read a new chapter each night before bed. This cozy tradition will allow you to spend some quality time together and often makes for thought-provoking breakfast conversations.
Make a tape of the songs special to your relationship. Include "your song," songs from your wedding, songs from favorite movies. Add a personal voice dedication and leave it in his briefcase, Walkman, or car stereo.
Kidnap your spouse. Arrange for a babysitter for a few hours-- or a few days. A friend of mine had a lot of success with this one. She knew her husband had always wanted to get married in Vegas, but he had agreed to a large, formal ceremony hosted by her family. So, after they had been married 10 years, she surprised him at work with a packed suitcase. They caught an evening flight and renewed their vows before an Elvis impersonator in a Vegas chapel. Years later, they're still talking about it.
This one requires a babysitter, too. Next time you're visiting your parents or in-laws, leave the kids with their grandparents and travel to another town, where no one will recognize you. Check into a hotel or B&B. Dress like another woman. Act like another woman. It's fun to slip into another persona from time to time.
Have a scavenger hunt. Write a few poems, wrap candy kisses inside, and hide them around the house. Each poem should be a clue to finding the next one. Make sure the final clue lands your man someplace you want to end up for the entire evening. A romance package, including a bottle of champagne and new lingerie, is a nice touch.

Why is time limited are the cops about to kick in your door to save the kids ? Just kidding I hope.
If your a guy trying to find a way to impress the wife find some close personal Friend to watch the kids for one night with out the wife knowing that's the plan. That's not all every day on your way home from work before then try and swing buy a new flower shop ask them for any old rose pedals they may have. Worst case buy a bunch of roses. Get a nice hotel room just out side of town. Fill the bath with the hottest water they have then drop a few pedals in and make a large heart shaped on the bed with the pedals that are left. Go home pick her up take her to the hotel and give her a back massage while she soaks in the tub. Enjoy the rest of the night. Good luck.

don't let the previous answers deter you you obviously need some time with the mother of those children.
flowers or other little presents are a start.
Help her with things without her asking.
Hide little notes that only she will find. like in the cupboard in the kitchen or in the egg carton saying that you love her or how you think she looks or even better why you love her.
Arrange for a babysitter and surprise her with a romantic dinner in HER favorite restaurant. I
f she works spontanously drop off flowers for her.
theres a few good ideas

You are not explaining yourself clearly. Do you mean that you have met a girl but since you have 2 children take care of, you don't have much time for something very romantic as you would have to go home to your children??

I have two kids also and the best thing my man could do is just say honey you go take a bath and I'll handle gettng the kids to bed and picking up the house for the night, That would make me happier than any flower or card ever would.

How about get a sitter for the night for your kids and have a romantic evening out.....you can't rush romance and its hard to be romantic when little feet could interrupt you at any time......
diner, show, a hotel room (prepped before hand) with a hot tub and candles......

get some roses, candles a nice dinner and a bottle of wine. Fill up your bathtub and sprinkle the rose petals on the surface of the water. Light candles all around the tub and give her a glass of wine. While she is enjoying her bath fix her dinner so it will be ready when she is done. She will be so relaxed!!! Good luck

if you could find a babysitter for one night or someway be alone with her for a night thats all you need...here are a few ideas..
bubble bath is romantic with rose peddles in the water....also candles all around is perfect
candle light dinner, with your song in the back ground
inside picnic, have it set like your out doors but inside, with strawberries.
dance to your song in the living room
if you can take her out to a new fancy resturant than bring her home, blind fold her and have your house all ready before with roses all over, candles (light them after you get home..lol), pictures of yous all over, than have your bubble bath and go from there. something sweet like a necklace, or earings are sweet too.

I'm assuming you just have kids and are trying to make special time with your spouse or loved one? If so, find a babysitter and just drive around together and talk, or stay home and enjoy the peace.
