I have a DVD drive, as well as a CD R/W drive on my computer. I can even play CD Rom music on both of them, but I can not write (even data) on my CD R/W. The drive is not even recognized by the system. For example when I right click on a file and select send to, the drive does not even come up as a selection. I have moved the jumbers in all possible combinations and it still does not allow me to write to it. The drive is LITON product, and my system is windows XP. I emailed the company 10days ago, and did not get a single response. I appreciate any help.

You could try rolling back the drivers to a time when it worked properly or maybe the driver needs to be updated. Can you reinstall the program? Sometimes even a simple reboot will correct the problem as it does in my case. A friend of mine on the Best Buy Geek Squad says that XP sometimes doesn't recognize CD & DVD drives- just a glitch that a reboot can correct.
If all else fails- see if you can call the tech support for your computer and see if they know what's up.
Hope this helps and have a great day!!!
