He wont need a visa. As far as I know British citizens can stay in SA for 90 days, before having to apply for residency. Check this links:

The last one is the official home office site and by far the most reliable.
Also my South African friends British boyfriend says they just give you a stamp at the airport, no visa.
So whether the babies on your passport or his own, he wont need one.

I've flown on my British Passport and I didn't need a visa. Just had to fill out the white forms the hostesses hand out before you land. That was about four years ago (ag jusis!) but I do remember reading the free paper from SA shop and there was an article about needing a visa ... can't remember the important details tho'! I really don't know about now, but I don't think so! Going for summer then, you lucky fish!

Babies shud b at least 3 mnths b4 travellin,imagin how ill that flights guna make him..He wont need a visa if hes a brit,but will need a residency permit if u plan to stay.Gud luck..11/13 hour journey,u guna need it..

why are you taking a 2 month old on a trip to south Africa??? There are alot of diseases that the child could get. Consult a doctor before you go
