I think you should ask this boy what he thinks about your friend, and if he likes her i wouldn't tell him. If he doesn't seem that into her, you could tell him. OR you could tell him either way, but add in that you like him too, maybe he's more interested in you than your friend.

Guys will come and go, but good friends are hard to find and keep. So I guess it's a question of who is more important to you. If you end up going with the guy she likes, it is going to upset her.

as a child/teen i found that usually the boy i liked was more attracted to my friend and the boys she liked were more attracted to me....so once you determine which of you he actually like better then you'll know if you should try to hog him to your self or just hand him over!
