You dont' Most maternity clothes just come in S, M, and L. Buy what fits. Many of them have adjustment on them, so look for that and you can wear them longer.

I had a hard time figuring this out too. The tops weren't so bad, but the pants were hard to figure out. The way I did it was when I tried them out the top should fit a little snug but comfortable and there should be a little room for the baby bump to grow. The pants depend on the type of style they are, some pants have the expandable waist line that goes on, below or above the bump. So 0-2 months could be x-small, small or even a medium depending on the cut of the pants or skirt. Try all clothing that you buy, make sure they fit right and that you are in no way uncomfortable in them.

most brands will claim to fit throughout, some brands like old navy maternity wear have tags on them that tell you what trimester the clothing is meant for, or how long you should be able to wear it. When you are buying maternity clothing try to buy big... you will get much much bigger by your third. Also, just buy a few key essentials, a whole wardrobe in your first or second trimester may not fit in your third, and regardless, you can only wear this stuff for a little over nine months. Splurge a little more on pants, because they can be worn with so many different things, but try to keep in mind that you will be pregnant for at least two whole seasons. Don't buy 10 sweaters now, expecting them to fit you until your third trimester, and then realize in july that its too hot to wear them

That's really hard to tell. It depends on how big you are because every woman is different. The way I always did it is just stretch out the belly as far as it will go to see how long it will last you. I usually could wear big t-shirts up until 6 months, and then small size maternity clothes for a month, and then I got too big and had to wear big maternity shirts. I am tiny but I stick out like a basketball, so all my shirts had to extend out at least 10-12 inches.

You can go to a pregnancy store and try some clothes on because sometimes the size is not the right one always. for example I am wearing size 7-9 and I have 7 months of pregnancy, sometimes I wear size 3-5 depend on the style,or fabric of the clothes.

That depends on your pre-pregnancy size but most people don't need to wear maternity clothes during the first two months. If your regular clothes are getting too uncomfortable you can try wearing regular clothes with elastic waists and keep them as transition clothes for early pregnancy and right after you give birth until you fit back into your regular clothes. Good luck.

When I was pregnant with both of my children, I didn't buy maternity clothes until I was at least 6 months along that way I know how my body type was and how big I was. I would just get larger sized shirts and wear stretchy pants. They really just need to fit your prepregnancy body (hips, thighs, arms, neckline, etc.)...The stomach part is made to stretch and stretch. So my best advice would be to wait a little while and then buy your regular clothes size.

You probably wont need maternity clothes until you are about 4 or 5 months. And if you shop around you can get clothes that will work for you even after birth that aren't maternity.

You don't. They are all the same in that respect. If your a, say size 10 (yes prior to pregnancy) buy size 10 maternity clothes and they will fit you throughout your pregnancy. Unless you are somewhere other than the US than maybe they do it different somewhere else.
