i know there has been a loooottttttttttt of controversy about islam and here i will set the score straight.
islam is not a religion of terrorism it actually means peace so if you are a bit confused and heard bad stuff about islam then read the links or whteva. and trust me this is from the bbc aswell so there!!! the truth about islam read the history and then make ur mind up about ur opinion about it aite?

If by controversy, u mean suicide bombers, hate campaigners, dictators, mad clerics, muslims claiming they shouldnt intergrate with us, coz its our place to change for them, then i will set your record straight. None of the above, are non muslim, They are all islamic extremists who wouldnt think twice about blowing you up. Yes there are millions of good muslims, and i feel sorry for them as they are being let down by the ranting few. But the ranting few, have many followers, who for some reason or other think they are being told the truth. I mean who in there right mind would believe you go to muslim heaven if you blow yourself up, along with a few hundred people who have been paying your way in life. Is any of this related to the PEACE you speak so fondly of? And i shant bother reading about islamic history thankyou, Because todays muslim, is nothing like yesterdays.
And was there actually a question attached to this, or is it just a political broadcast?

Saying Islam is not a religion of terrorism is in the same category as saying that Xtianity is a religion of peace. Whilst you may be able to support your claim with sundry quotes and examples, that does not negate that fact that much evil has been done in the name of Islam, by people who were convinced they were good Muslims, and motivated by texts from the Qurran.
I am not confused about Islam, any more than I am confused about Christianity or any other religion. To borrow a phrase from Sam Clements, it's not the bits I don't understand that worry me, it's the bits I DO understand!

Be Ware! Satan continues to transform himself into a angel of light. If you compare Islam to Mormonism it is the same thing just one is Christian based and one is non-Christian. Both believe that the bible is so old that it has been mistranslated and therefore has lost it's meaning. So it has been replaced with a new scripture (Koran or Book of Mormon) But think if god went to all that work to inspire 40 different men to write those 66 books Would he allow man to taint it? However at the same time I do not support the Catholic church either. How could anyone think that God's blessing is on that church when they hide there sins (molesting of little boys) Just because it's the oldest does not make it right. Everyone needs to search for the truth (Not what fits them) but what fits with god. Faith is based on the facts of the past not what people want the past to be but on what really happened. Please do more research and find the truth. It will be with people that teach the truth about the bible regardless how different it might be to the rest.

The thing which annoys me most about Islam is not knowing where to find out about it. By that I mean that the mass of the British people are enthralled by the exotic nature of Islamic art and culture. We have, we are told, about 2million Muslims in UK so when are they going to have their big street bash in London? I saw an Egyptian gent. on TV a year or so back, wearing a red fez, reciting in Egyptian rap-fashion, an Egyptian poem about a man who saved the City of Cairo from attack. The poem takes seven days to recite - I was so taken with this, I could have listened to him right to the end. Needless to say the producers or whoever, pulled the plug after only a couple of minutes. See what I mean? Bloody annoying. They think we are not interested, but we are.
Here's a little story for you - in 1922, Winston Churchill went to Cairo to visit his friend Lawrence [The Lawrence of Arabia]. When Lawrence came out of his house, the people in the street lay prostate on the ground before him. Winston told the people that "the United Kingdom is the greatest Muslim country on earth". Winston Spencer Churchill was a great man of destiny - he knew what he was talking about.

Hmmmm... Really not a question here, but I'll comment on what you state. from what I see and hear, for example Iran (an Islamic country) says that they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, does not seem very 'peaceful' to me. What about within Islam ie; Sunni vs Shiite vs Kurdish... wheres the 'peace' there? or where's the 'peace' in the belief non-Muslims have two options conversion or death. Peace? not so much.

Not sure of the question - but every religion has extremists -all they need is an excuse and a basic understanding of the written word - which if they dont, they just make up anyway. Only takes one radical leader for many sheep to follow....and sheep dont read!
Its funny how these "leaders" get others to commit suicide and murder - but rarely do you hear that they encourage their own familes or children to strap up.

Like all religions especially ones that brainwash from birth , they are userly hijacked by fanatics and used to control those that believe in it absolutely . This is not only the Islamics many other religions suffer the same fate . Religion and its misuse has killed more people than all the world wars put together

I read the Koran and it disgusts me.
