it didn't hurt but as of yesterday it did. I was wearing tight pants and they were bothering me I went to the bathroom and noticed that that tiny bump became inflammed and swollen its about the size of a marble. What could it be?

The best thing to do is have it checked by a Dr. to rule out any sort of STD. Genital warts would be the most likely and they can lay dormant for quite some time before developing, so even if you have had the same partner for several years, it is best to be sure.

That being said, my personal bet is some small scratch or nick, especially if you shave, trim or wax frequently. Wear looser fitting pants and panties to keep from irritating it, soak it with a warm towel and use some topical antibiotic. And them make an appointment just to be sure!

My guess is that you have an infection from constant irritation of your tight pants. Wear loose underwear and loose pants for 3-5 days and see if the inflammed/swollen lump on your labia doesn't go away or get significantly smaller. If it goes away then you can probably forget about it being something serious, but if it doesn't change drastically, then you should definitely get to your OB/GYN as soon as possible to have your labia checked. You may have something much more serious that is also located someplace you haven't noticed. Good luck!

it might be an ingrown hair.all parts of the vagina have tiny hairs we cant see but are there, i have had one before, granted it didn't grow to the size of a marble, but it was irritated and inflamed, but eventually went away. do you wear tight pants alot? if so, try not to wear them until it goes away. also, if i were you i would probably go talk to a doctor and have them check it out. you could also check out this website below. it has a lot of helpful advice for any health questions.

It is most likely a swollen gland from shaving. It's happened to me before. Of course, you should go to your doctor and get it checked out for sure, but if you shave "down there" at all, that is probably what it is. You slightly nick the skin and a hair gets ingrown is how that happens.

it could be something as simple as a pimple or ingrown hair. try and squeeze it - if you get nothing out i'd go to the doctor
