I am sorry, when do zoo animals get abused? Are you saying that being in a large cage and being well fed is being abused? If you are, I think you are mistaken.

I understand that many say that an animal in a zoo is being abused because they are in a cage and they are not in their natural habitat. These animals aren’t allowed to be natural, and be free. I don’t see it like that at all.

Though I frown upon animals that were ONCE free and then locked up for the REST of their lives, any animal bread in captivity, though still has its wild nature and instincts, isn’t under any abuse. Zoos create a space for each animal which matches their habitat.
They are fed regularly and the proper amount of what they need. They are free from poachers, and any type of littering or other type of human waste that can easily harm an animal.

Not only this, but animals such as elephants, tigers, lions and any other animal valued for their skin or bones is saved from extinction. Zoos not only saves lives, they save species from total annihilation.

There is also one more bonus to a zoo; humans are able to come face to face with these majestic and rare animals. Zoos teach humans to value these animals and to aid those that wish to save the animal population. I know personally, if I didn’t see some of these animals face to face I wouldn’t really care if they came into extinction. Why? Because I wouldn’t be aware of how amazing and important they are to our planet.

Zoos are not abusive. Animals within a zoo are well taken care of. They (animals) are safe when their brothers and sisters out in the wild are being hunted down and they are teaching little children and adults that animal lives are important to keep safe.

Yeah, I think everyone on here is just about right, when did zoos start abusing animals?? Zoos are the best friend animals have in the world!!! I'd be more concerned about circus's than zoo's!!

That's a ridiculous debate, though it sounds typical for a modern school. Many zoos are populated with animals that were sick or wounded and would have died if left in the wild.

No,animals at zoo's are not abused and it gives people the oppurtunity to see live animals that they would never normally see.Does your school have a spelling team?baned=banned.

Zoo's as in cage's and bar's, yes, they should have acres to roam in as close to there natural habit as possible, I hate seeing them in a zoo living on concrete floors and bored to death, its nothing more than a life sentence...
