I personally think he was completely correct. Now, of course liberals are lying right and left, saying that he was "making fun of him and the disease." Not true. Fox stayed off of meds for this performance geared for rousing idiots, which was the point Rush was making. There are no other public appearance where he's that out of it; in fact, I'll offer a $20 reward for anybody who can find one.

The Dems are trying to attack everyone before the election to gain sympathy for all of their rotten causes that sensible voters will shun, if the true facts are known. I no longer have respect for M.J. Fox as an actor or as a person. Keep up your great work, Mr. Limbaugh. Although I usually listen to Michael Savage, you're correct the vast majority of the time, and especially on this one.

Answer to "truthyness" below. Yes, I did notice that Limbaugh apologized, but he gave in when he shouldn't have, IMO.

Also, we're not talking about a situation that requires medical expertise, only Fox's performance in the ad.

Just another political football, MJ FOX is sick and I feel for him...but when you use that and try to make it appear as though if you vote for the republican then you hate sick people and never want them to get well, which is ridiculous. It reminds me of when John Edwards said during a campaign speech that if Kerry/Edwards were put into office Superman would walk again. That's BS! This issue comes down to embryonic stem cell research and it's morality, and the question of at what point is life life. I personally believe life begins at conception. Why MJ Fox would stop taking his meds which is a medical gain to campaign for a dem who would be in favor of this medical "possibility" is beyond me... Take your meds Mike you have my sympathy but we all have our burdens to bear.

Parkinson's is a disease that has certainly affected MJF's life giving him personal perspective. From his perspective, I believe he would do anything he can to bring awareness to his cause. I'm also certain that that was MJF's intention when he agreed to do the add. Who cares WHO the politician is, that politician happens to be supporting a cause that is probably pretty high on his list of important issues.

The politician running the ad doesn't care anymore for MJF than MJF cares for the politician. They just happen to have a willing participant seeking to advance his own agenda (not saying that's a bad thing at all) that the masses could easily identify and sympathize with, which just happens to fit into their own agenda.

The real question, as has been stated already in an earlier thread, is who stands where on embryonic stem cell research. It's a questions that has no clearly defined answer and is a volatile and polarized issue. The left will call for it, the right won't, and each will call the other "out of touch" for not taking the others position.

Was Rush out of line? Provocative, yes. Out of line, yeah, probably, and here is why. He has a tendency to take things to the extreme right. In this case in particular by suggesting the point of the message was "vote for me and MJF will be cured". His potential misrepresentation of the actual message would be more of a crime to me than provocative commentary. I don't think his intentions (as misguided as many believe his may be) where necessarily mean spirited.

If Limbaugh was right, then why did he later apologize?

Further, Dr. John Boockvar, a neurosurgeon and assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical Center at New York's Presbyterian Hospital, called Limbaugh's claim "ludicrous." Boockvar said those with Parkinson's have "on" and "off" spells.

When it comes to medical expertise, the majority of the time I'd side with doctors, not political radio personalities with an agenda.

Yes, some people can't stand the truth. M.J.Fox needs to stay out of using his illness as leverage against a political party. Many of us have illnesses and we do not use it to attack and manipulate. Some people use such poor judgement; I lost respect for M.J.Fox a while back.

Rush is not always right, but he was on this one! I'm so sick of the political motive behind everything! Thousands suffer with illnesses in this country. Most do not have the money or resources of M.J.Fox. Billy Graham has suffered with Parkinson's for years and has never used his disease for political purposes.

You know what -- I agree with you. I really feel for MJF, but I think he is being used as a pawn by politicians to get elected. I truly don't think they care one bit for him and Parkinson's disease. I know if it were my family member I would want to find a cure for whatever disease, but not at the expense of his dignity. That whole performance was sad.

YOU MAKE ME SICK. Who cares whether or not he went off his meds to prove a point? If you want to see how much people with that disease suffer then his commercial makes an excellent example. Stop worrying about calling names and whining about the "dems" and realize that this sickness goes way beyond your smarmy attitude. I'd like to see what happens if you got sick and moved uncontrollably. What would you say then when people dismiss you as a human being.

If you are trying to attract attention to the affects of a disease in order to encourage donations or legislation to fight it, why would you mask the symptoms?

You've been listening to Rush and Savage too long. You're starting to think like them and no, I don't mean it as a compliment.

He was correct Fox has admitted to doing it before. He also was using the disease to mask telling the public things that aren't true.
