Parents have not filed in 14 years, has ss income and interest from retirement account

Games are over if you have offically retired at required age you choose. Just hide what ever income you really make or show less than the allowed amounts!

Social Security is only taxable if it is over a certain amount. I don't have the exact numbers in from of me but; take half of the social security and add it to the other income. If that amount is over $34,000 (I'm guessing at the amount) then a portion of it is taxable.

Most people who live primarily on Social Security do not have to file so it is not time to panic. My grandmother hasn't filed in almost thirty years....but she doesn't need to.

IRS.gov would have more specifics for you.

Their income level may not be high enough to pay taxes.
