First of all, it's spelled "PHLEGM."

Anyway, try eating some spicy food. That'll clear up your sinuses and throat. I recommend hot & sour soup, which you can get at any take-out Chinese restaurant. Be sure to request chicken instead of shrimp in the soup, though. That's option #1.

Option #2 is drinking Thera-Flu a couple of times per day. That works wonders, but sip it as soon as you get it! Don't wait for it to cool.

Option #3 is taking a lot of Vitamin C pills. Whenever I get sick I take around 800% of my daily Vitamin C requirement and drink a big glass of orange juice, and I'm all better in about six hours.

There are medications out there that will help you. Mucinex is one . Sit in the bathroom and turn the shower on hot and let it run for like 10- 15 minutes and the steam from it will help loosen up the plegm. If it gets worse try going to the doctor.

Drink hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice. The citrus will dissolve the flem in no time. I had the same problem & it worked a treat!!!

Go see the doctor. Sounds like something you want to have checked out. For the present make a cup of hot tea with lemon in it. Good luck!

It sounds like you may have post nasal drip. Try taking a decongestant or antihistamine to dry up your sinuses. Nasal spray might help to.
