I started on Desogen about a month ago, this is the first period I'm experiencing since starting the pill. I got my period last Wednesday, and it hasn't stopped yet. As of yesterday, the bleeding got heavier -- should I contact my doctor or is this a normal side effect from beginning packs of pills?

that is normal but if it continues for a long time you might have to change the pill some women's body react differently to different pills.

Even on my 3rd month of just starting the pill I was still spotting some.. I did that for 2-3weeks straight during my 3rd month..so it's completely normal.

yes, your body has to get used to the pill. it may take awhile.
