If you smoke, quit right away. Keep active, watch what you eat and exercise. Pick the activity you enjoy: walking, swimming, yoga (great for relaxation), gentle weight training. Exfoliate and moisturize, get a makeover: new hairdo, makeup, clothes. When you feel happy, you look happy.
Try this: http://www.nvperriconemd.com/3-day-diet.html. Heard it works wonders. Good luck.

Finding appropriate social outlets are a great help. Find a "Red Hat Society" group near you, if you are the "joining" type. They really know how to have fun! Check with your local college or community centers to see if they have trips available. Find something you REALLY like and get involved in a club for it (I do dollhouse miniatures!). Get involved with YOUNG people like Girl Scouts, Girl's Club, etc. They will make you appreciate all you have learned as you have grown and will enjoy your company and help (I work w/Girl Scouts). And avoid ANY of the stupid magazines out there that promote the idea that YOUTH is the world's most precious commodity!! LOL!! Yeah, RIGHT!

There is no way to beat it, so you just surrender and enjoy the freedom of not being under pressure any more. My skin. hair, bones and even brain cells are continuously changing- to worse. Sometimes I feel like a wilted rose. But I was a pretty damn lovely rose once. My friends and I have fun telling jokes about what changes we are going thru. Share, then let go. Be noticed because you are the funniest and the happiest. And smart.

The best way to deal with it...is to accept it..you can't change it.. I am 63 years young and I enjoy every minute of my life. I, thank God for every morning that I wake up healthy and look forward to all the things in life that he has given me, grandchildren, my wonderful hubby, friends....so, don't worry about it...just take your life as it comes....Be happy!!!!!!
