A polo shirt with the collar up, white socks with sneakers and faded jeans that are a little too short.

For girls: I'd suggest wearing black spandex pants, topped with a bright pink ballerina skirt and either a loud yellow or orange blouse--complete with large necklace beads. Comb shoulder length hair to one side as a pony tail. Also use hot pink eye shadow and matching lipstick.
For guys: White pants with black/white "checkerboard" style tennis shoes (good luck finding those--todays t-shoes look like gaudy "bling bling" footwear). White T-shirt with in bold black letters "CHOOSE LIFE", and a black sport jacket.

Wear some skinny jeans roll them up just a lil and a big loose shirt w/dark or bright makeup and a head bandana and big ug earrings

Mini skirt, leg warmers, oversize office style shirt (in a really bright color) and a lot of chunky bangles. Sweet!

leggings are totally 80's!!! And they are really IN this season!!! So by wearing leggings you are fulfilling two purposes.
Wear a flowy little skirt and BRIGHT, showy, maybe sparkly top. It'd be cool if you had a funky one sleeve top.
