They may ask
What does equal opportunities mean to you?
How would you support a child who has english as a second language?
How would you settle a new child or new group of children into the nursery?
How would you support a child who has special needs so that they feel just as much a part of the group? (they may give a specific thing such as a child with behavioural difficulties, a blind or deaf child, a disabled child etc..)
Can you tell me an activity which will support a childs language skills?
What would you expect a child to learn or develop through taking part in a P.E. session?

Hope this has given you something to think about. good luck!!!!

If you want good answers to these questions i would be happy to help.

Yes, as an interviewer at a successful company, I would ask these:

Note-
The most important questions are not knowledge based (their schooling and proof of graduation should speak for themselves)

I like to ask questions that get them thinking and responding.

What do you do for fun?

What are your hobbies?

Who is your favorite band? (this one tells me a lot about a person) IE I wouldn't hire a nursery nurse if her favorite band was some speed metal band- (now I wouldn't tell them that they were not hired because they love speed metal, but I am letting you in on the psyche of the interviewer.)

What is your favorite TV show? Why? (similar concept to above)

Who is your favorite author?

What is your favorite book? (I find that hiring people who are avid readers seems to indicate a "well roundedness" to the applicant.)

Hope this helps.

They may ask you what you'll do with a kid that is faking sickness. Be sure you won't let kids linger in the clinic or enjoy being there. Teachers don't like that. Mention (if they don't ask) that you'll keep children away from their class as short a time as possible for what is wrong with them.
