even if nobody asked, he jumps at the first chance he has to say he's not gay. He looks straight, even though he's kinda "sensitive" (he's really quiet and likes soft music), but now i'm starting to wonder. I am a ubermacho, but wouldn't mind him coming out of the closet if it were the case, question is, should i touch the subject or just let it be?

Its good that you will accept him whether he is gay or not. I would not bring up the subject with him. When he is comfortable and ready to come out of the closet (if he is gay) he will. If and when he does give him your support and let him know that him being gay does not in any way affect how you view your friendship and that you will accept him not matter what. That will really help him.

hello? are you that dense? he's gay!!! he's defensive!! and i have 3 bros, and basically if a guy tends to be defensive then he is trying to hide something... he's trying to hide it because its not totally cool if he has guy friends and he admits that he is gay, would you expect everyone to be supportive and understanding as you? well i hate to be the one to break this to you, but not all guys are cool about having a gay friend right? just let him be for now, if he trusts you enough he'll spill it out freely to you...

Just leave him alone....perhaps he is not ready or maybe he is just sensitive because his mommy really loved him and gave him tons of hugs and kisses.

Maybe he's just sick of everyone saying/thinking that he is. Or maybe he is gay and just afraid to admit to himself and everyone else
