I'm asking specifically if there's a term that describes those three prongs. By three prongs, I don't mean the part that plugs into the wall socket, but the three prong female part of the monitor power cable.

The IBM 5150 had a monitor that plugged into the back of the PC's power supply instead of having a normal power plug. Is that what you mean?

I think you pretty much got it right in your 'question'. It's the 'female' end of the power cord, which connects over the 'male' plugs coming from the monitor. :-)
