Why do white men try to look as cool as coloured men?

Why is it that young white guys try and I mean try to walk and talk like coloured guys?
they look stupid walking down the street and when you hear them say respec mon and init after each sentence it makes me laugh.
Am I the only one?

Jealous?!? What of??? That is not the answer. It's more likely because they have no culture of their own that they're 'allowed' to be proud of, so they have to ID with someone else's. Think on...

It depends what you consider as cool- I don't necessarily think 'respec mon' sound very cool coming from anyone.

The thing is mannerisms sometimes belong to a culture or area rather than a race. It's reasonable that many white guys who come from a predominantly black area or have many black friends would pick up a lot of mannerisms. Where I'm from blacks, whites, Asians, you name it are known to talk like that which I suppose is alright as long as they're not trying to put on a front.

When I see guys from all different walks of life (lower class,middle class, upper class) greeting each other with a "faux ghetto" stance that's when I have to have a little chuckle!

ANYONE who walks down the street saying , "respec mon - init", is laughable!! What has skin colour got to do with it. Low standards of speech are ALWAYS low standards, whoever is speaking. Ever heard the expression "the pot calling the kettle black"?

Yeah I think it looks stupid when anyone (either black or white)walks down the street trying to look cool and talking as if they're some sort of gangster. This isn't the 1970s anymore. They all need to grow up

Where do you live? Never heard anybody say" respec mon" or "init", and who the fuc* still says colored??? Dont get it twisted, there are plenty of black men that act "white" too. Alot of people just want to be something that there not.

no, you're not alone. I cant stand Wiggers eithor. Its funny cuz the black guys are naturally that way and dont know any better because thats how they were raised. The white guys are mostly from the suburbs. And also how is that cool? barely speaking english, swearing, disrespecting women and authority, acting like animals is cool? Wearing pants half off your ***, rolling up one pant leg, and putting gold alover your teeth, Ya thats cool alright.

Because young white guys have no identity of their own,and copying someone else's is easier.This is nothing new,the music and slang language have been copied from the black culture a long time ago,although now it's more pronounce than before

I think they're called wiggers. That's a horrible name but it seems to suit. These guys try to look and act cool but they look ridiculous!! Only african americans can look that cool! I dont' want to sound racist but don't try to cross boundaries, it only looks foolish. Eminem, for example, tries so hard but in reality, he looks quite stupid. He tries to walk the walk, but will never have respect. He's a laughing stock who is so short on talent.

Since when is gansta cool?...popular maybe but not cool.....Blacks or coloureds (What ever your choice of discription ).Have many trends which is far more cool..Everyone adopts elements of somone elses trend...
The mobo award thing makes me cringe...music of black orign..
I know the great jazz soul and blues musicians of times gone by and I accept it with great respect..but this later added on award thing is wrongly representative...

I think they are stupid and ridiculuos so you are not the only one.You should hear when some white men at my church speak Apa khabar and Tinggal di Jalan Airport ,I nearly burst with laughter.
