I keep hearing about couples that don't 'do it' as much as they used to. As a guy I can understand how the same thing, over and over, can get boring and you just want something different but you still want 'it'. Or when you first meet someone you are all over eachother and then it just kinda slows down until you don't even think about it. So why is that? Why does the intamacy slow down after marriage or after time? Is it a loss of physical attraction or the feeling of not having to work/perform anymore?

Intimacy only slows down after marriage if you let it.

i think after time couples dont have as much sex, because they have built up more of an emotional connection and friendship. i think its a natural progession to move into a more emotional level together where sex is just not as important. of course if one person is unhappy that they arent having it enough, there are ways to spark things. but yeah, i think it takes more work as time goes on. you have to spark up the romance. sex sometimes becomes less important after you have kids, or have to deal with the rest of the day to day stresses.

That loving feeling is still there and a couple will experience what you call burn out, leaving that loving feeling on the backburner until one is ready to light the fire.

maybe the feelings died is cuz having to do the same things over and over, or just couples who both work and just too tired to do it, or just aging.

No, it just depends on people. it's not about something special. If people "lose that thing" it means they are just not for each other.
