To me it's a form of abortion, makes people THINK that their just swallowing a pill to start there menstrual cycle, not a form of abortion.
BTW. I'm not saying I am for or against abortion, just saying how I feel about the morning after pill.

It doesn't really cause abortions. Women take the morning after pill not to cause abortion but to prevent a pregnancy. My understanding is that it is designed to keep a possibly fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus if you take it within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

It doesn't cause an abortion. They say right in the ads that it will not terminate an existing pregnancy. It will prevent an egg from being fertilized, or if the egg has been fertilized, prevent it from implanting.

I am not positive about all of the facts but I know that it is taken within a certain time period to prevent a pregnancy which is why so many anti-abortion people are against its use.

Neither. It is essentially a high dose of the same hormone found in birth control pills. It just makes the womb very very inhospitable to any sperm that might be in there. It is not guaranteed to cause an abortion/miscarriage. It just makes the fertilization not likely to occur.

It prevents implantation of the fertilized egg onto the uterine wall
So it depends on your beliefs--if you think viable life begins when the egg is fertilized, even if it's still in the Fallopian tube, then technically it could be considered an abortion.

Since it is birth control it prevents abortions. It is nothing but a high dose of regular birth control pills. It prevents pregnancy it does not end one.

Neither, it does two things, if you haven't ovulated, it prevents ovulation, and if you have, it thins out the lining in your uterus so an implanted egg can't attach.

isn't the whole reason for taking the pill because you are afraid that you are pregnant? so if you are, it causes an abortion.
