As I perused the poklitical arena this morning, I noticed that it was merely a bunch of people calling each other names. Political campaigns have ceased to be "Why you shold vote for me" and are now "Don't vote for the other guy because..." The "My way or the highway" platitudes of modern politics are failing to unify the general public in any and all conflicts. No one is willing to concede that the opposing party has some valid points. I fear for the future of this country if all we can do is bicker about an issue, take a vote on it, and accuse the opposing party of manipulating the vote. Is there, in short any measure of reform that can be taken to resolve the immidiate barrier that goes up when opposing candidates collide?

Yes- but it really doesn't matter, both parties are in on it together. Have you ever heard of a Democrat becoming poor because a Republican was in office, or vice-versa?

I think the dems have to be called out for not actually offering an alternative for the reps. We all know what the reps are about - saying they are good christians or cathlics that they are strong on ______ fill in the blank (by strong I mean uncomprimising). After they say that they go on to make sure that the companies that sponsored thier campains have thier bottom line taken care of while the employees aren't taken care of.

The dems on the other hand get less money from these same companies then lack the faith in the americans and the backbone to offer an alternative.

We need to let the dems know that we are smarter then they treat us and we wont tolorate thier half steppin'

But ofcourse the fact that the mainstream media is in cohots with the same company makes the whole show much easier to pull off.

I have a tentative answer. First, especially in Presidential elections, only people with unblemished (or well hidden) pasts can run. This eliminates 99% of people who have the intelligence, temperment, and charisma to be good leaders. Therefore, let's pressure the press to stop putting elected officials under a microscope.

Secondly, voters should create a wish list at the beginning of a Presidential term, and issue a report card at the end. There are some issues like global warming, alternative fuels, illegal immigration that are perennial hot potatoes no polician wants to touch. Hence, very little is ever accomplished.

We can change that by making those core issues the litmus test of whether a President followed the wishes of those who elected him. Then, collaboration between parties will naturally follow

That is because YOU are watching instead of doing something about it. Go to: http://www.infowars.com AND http://www.prisonplanet.com
then go to http://www.youtube.com & in the search engine type Olbermann on Bush, then after you research this, type in Henry Rollins on Bush, type in New World Order. Educate yourself, as things will only get worse & you will be led like a sheep. microchipped, monitored. Then, last but not least type in the youtube search engine John Kennedy Speech & listen to him, he speaks of what is going on now that is considered UNAMERICAN. You have much reading to do, so please get busy & pass it on. Write your state representative & ask that he/she co-sponsors HR 635, that is House Resolution 635 for an appropriate investigation of the current administration. I hope this helps.
