I let someone hold it and they put it on, because of their kids, but they dont remember what code they put.

I think there is a generic code you may be able to use. At the video store I worked at it was either all 0,s or all 7's, if that does not work try contacting Playstation.

OK here it is get a really big hammer then take hammer into hand either hand will do...now commence to strike PS2 repeatedly until you see many pieces of your PS2 all over the place if that dint work place PS2 into a fire barrel and let simmer until big puddle of goo is left or ashes
