Your only believing what you want to believe. If he said that in a respectful and meaningful way, then that is what he meant. Insecurities can have painful repercussions. Let it go, your beautiful no matter what.

I was watching Dr. Phil, on or about this same subject...This can be complex, or it can be easy. You may have to put him on the spot, do a Barney Fife, and "Nip it in the Bud" This approch is simply take care of the matter at hand swiftly.
You have to ask yourself, are you happy with your husbands performance....does he go to bed early, leave his dirty clothes laying around, dont flush the toliet, is he cleaning up, staying out late bowling....gone for days deer hunting?
Now its your turn have some fun, have a girls night out.

He probably does still love you but he probably wouldn't mind at all if you lost some weight. He still loves you for who you are and you are still beautiful but just don't get all fat and stop taking care of yourself. Don't let yourself go. Still take pride in yourself and do those things that attracted him to you in the first place. Don't ask him those questions that he isn't quite sure how to answer. Such as: "Does my butt look big?" or "Am I getting fat?" etc. He's not going to know what kind of answer you are looking for.

What are you trying to say?" That your husband love you a little even if you r big? He's the one with the problem how can a man say that to his wife that he love her a little!! I can't understand that kind of love. I would come right out and ask him. I know if my old man said' that to me it would be HELL to pay!! I sure would show him a little love..

maybe he is being honest and he does still find you beautiful. when a person is truly in love with their spouse- beauty isn't their physical appearance- it's who they really are on the inside. if "love" was only about how we looked- everyone would divorce before they turned 50.

Maybe he does mean it and you're being a bit insecure.

I guess it may depend on how much weight you have gained.
DO you feel you have at all? and if so is it a lot.

Maybe he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

You haven't reall gave enough info.

Regardless I hope things work out.

You need to step out of your comfort zone. Be more active, eat less, lose any excess weight, be healthy. I have been married 37 years and if my wife is trying on clothes and asks me if something makes her butt look big or whatever I say whatever will please her. After all, I no longer look like tom cruise myself.

You are nagging him about how you look and how he feels about it...........And it is driving him nuts and he is trying not to hurt your feelings and get you to shut-up?
