Yay. I think we have to look at the people with Parkison's, Alzeheimer's, or other types of cancer. Most of these embryos come from fertilization clinics where they are the leftovers of embryo implantation. Only 2% of embryos come from abortion clinics. These embryos are only a couple of days old and haven't even begun to form, they are literally cells. These cells could shape into liver, kidney and other cells because embryonic stem cells have this capacity. So some people are going to say that adult spine cells are better or umbilical cords but they aren't that potent and can't be used for a variety of diseases. These embryos are going to be thrown into the garbage either way and why not used them to save a life?

Absolutely, the embryos that scientists want to use are going to be THROWN AWAY. There are thousands and thousands of embryos that are thrown away because some reproductive therapies requires making many embryos from one couples ova and sperm to try to get one to implant correctly.
Don't you think it's better that these embryos be used in an effort to better all of humanity than simply be thrown away. Sure someone could have one of them implanted and it grow up to be a person, but the fact is that there are way too many of them and no where near all of them will ever be implanted and grow up normally. There will always be ample supply of embryos for women that want one implanted and thousands more that will be thrown away.
