Your argument to prove the existence of God is a very old and popular argument called "teleological" argument; argument by design. This argument states that the universe is overwhelmingly complex with an amazing degree of order. This could not have come by chance, and there has to be an intelligent principle behind this design. There have been several strong supporters of this argument. But at the same time it has been seriously challenged by many. For example, some say that the atoms combined in zillions of permutations and combinations, and the combination that made sense and "survived" stayed forming the basis of all biotic and abiotic components. Supporters of both sides have come up with equally stronger arguments, with the balance tilting from one side to another from time to time.

The basic flaw in this approach to look at GOD is that we are trying to use tools of reason and logic to analyze the "nuomena". But these tools are applicable to the physical world "phenomena". Such an approach gives rise to "antinomies" (as explained by Immanuel Kant); different possible and conflicting yet equally forceful standpoints.

GOD cannot be understood. He is to be realized, experienced. Reasoning cannot cross over from the physical to the non-physical. One has to take "leap of faith", in the words of Soren Kierkegaard. Those who don't believe in GOD can never be made to believe logically, and to those who believe there is no need for any logical arguments. GOD is a personal experience, known subjectively. Soren Kerkegaard made a powerful statement that "truth is subjectivity, and subjectivity is truth". Tug of war is meaningless and futile.

Did you know that adam is the ancient hebrew word for 'man' and was never meant to be a persons name, it was just an error in translation by a non-Jewish German? The same German didn't know that Mediterranean fishermen called the planet Venus (or, morning star) by the name Lucifer, and hence he assumed Lucifer to be the name of the angel cast out of heaven? Did you know that the aramaic symbol for rope and a camel is only 1 stroke different, and because of the same German, people believe Jesus talked about threading a camel through the eye of a needle?
When the church corrects the obvious errors in the bible, then more people may take it seriously.
Also, regarding Adam & Eve, Cain having killed Abel was sent from the Garden of Eden to the Land of Nod where he took a wife. But as God had not created any other woman, who made Cains wife?
Evolution is proven, and we continue to evolve. The bible makes no mention of dinosaurs yet we have their bodies and bones. Why do you find it so hard to believe that Neanderthal man existed?

I can wonder how we got here and still think we haven't found the answer. For some people the story of Adam and Eve is to simplistic and goes against too much proof that people existed before the Bible says they did. To not know something and grasp at mystical or religious explanations to fill in the gaps seems mentally lazy. Using science to keep searching for the answer makes more sense to those of us who like to have at least some logic in our lives.

"believe nothing, verify everything." Adam and Eve were written about in about 1300 bc. Supposedly by Moses. No one knows the answer to this question. They can only surmise. The origin of man is a mystery. To this day. Homo sapiens appeared suddenly, without a clear evolutionary history. You ask a question that no one can honestly answer. There are different possibilities. That is all we know.

The truth may be other than 'either' creation or evolution.

Obviously man has struggled with the concept of his place in the universe since the very time we achieved a conscious rational thought process. Most religious texts created stories to relate values or explanations for things that otherwise could not be explained at that time in history. As our capabilities to decipher the world around us have increased it becomes more difficult to accept the simplistic stories at face value and as fact. That does not dismiss the value in the lessons they teach us about love and respect for one another or for creating a decent, strong set of guidelines for living together. All of these things can co-exist with science and the reality of the modern world if shaped into the elegance of the purpose they both serve. As mentioned previously, the bible we read today is an amalgam of re-writes which were changed from the original texts to allow the faith to grow and to control an ignorant and potentially unstable population through fear of damnation and the promise of reward if we behaved. Never forget the mark that man puts on not only the things he is given, but the things he creates. Bear-in-mind too that there is religious stories that predate the old testament which illustrate stories which are similar to the story of Jesus Christ. Man is a great borrower and improver, never forget.

I too believe in God. I don't believe in Adam and Eve. More people are inclined to believe evolution because it's obvious. I spent a good portion of my childhood in a catholic school where I was scolded for asking about dinosaurs. Something I KNOW is/was real. I chose to be a very spiritual person. NOT a religious person.

I've never yet seen any credible evidence that the "Adam and Eve" story is anything but a work of fiction. Oh sure, there probably was a first man and a first woman, but to say they were just suddenly here, instead of saying that they were a product of evolution - well, both stories are pretty outlandish to me. Neither can be proven more so than any other idea.

It is not hard for people to believe in God, It is just hard for people to believe in Churches. There are too many fallacies associated with Religion. The garden of Eden is all symbolic, There never was a place like That and Adam simply represents the first Man. The bible has been rewritten many times to make it more acceptable as man's knowledge outgrew th sciptures. You do not need a church, nor do you need a bible to believe in God. You only need faith that something bigger than you is in control.
Everyone should decide for themselves how they want to believe. People need reassurance when the ministers and priests who are supposed to be so moral. commit horrible crimes.
Don't deal with middle men. Go straight to God for you salvation and you will achieve it without reservation. Churches have become nothing more nor less than big businesses. God has taken a back seat.

What are you trying to say, that it makes more sense that one day some divine entity whipped us up out of the dirt, and we appeared, just as we are today? Disregarding fossils of primitive people that have been carbon-dated to before the beginning of biblical history. Fossils which show the effects of evolution upon the human species, evolution which would be impossible if we were created in the image of some god. When you see those bones, bones of shorter men with brutish foreheads and chins, do you call them human? Or do you deny their humanity, because they don't look like us, which means they were not made in the image of God.

You think that because there was no womb for the first person to grow in, somehow this proves God? Maybe consider the idea of evolution.

P.S. If God created humans, because nothing can exist without some conscious effort by an intelligent being, then who created God?............NOW!!! Listen to what is happening in your head. You are rationalizing the existence of God by saying that God was always there, or something along those lines. Every time religious dogmatists have something illogical about their religion pointed out to them, the immediately resort to coming up with even more mythical and extravagant claims about the subject matter.
