I think it was mean-spirited, offensive, and just plain rude.

I don't know exactly what he said about it, but Rush Limbaugh is an idiot, so I'm not surprised. The ad, though, was clearly orchestrated to pull the sympathy vote. That's the whole reason they wanted him in the ad. I don't think there's anything to criticize there, though. Mikey did the ad because he feels a certain way about the issue. The people who put the ad together, however, knew exactly the effect it would have, but that's just using a smart resource and driving home what stem cell research is trying to help.

Mr Fox admitted in his own book that he purposely went off his meds before testifying before congress in order to make a bigger impression. So Rush's speculation that he may have done it again is perfectly reasonable. And MJF is a public figure who has chosen sides in a political moral debate, and should have no immunity from criticism, just as Rush has none. I for one find it offensive that an actor without a medical or legal degree is representing an opinion on this bill as fact. At least Rush makes very clear that he is expressing opinion from a conservative point of view, and doesn't try to pass himself off as un-biased. BTW, there is no such thing as an un-biased media report. Some just truthfully admit their biases, while others try to make you believe they are expressing a non-biased truth. MJF deserves our sympathy for his medical condition, but not for his biased opinions that are only looking at one side of this matter.

I think it is about time someone fires back despite the left's shameless use of 'human shields'.
Obviously what was SUPPOSED to happen is that the left makes a claim, then hides behind Fox and enjoys immunity from criticism because we are all supposed to be PC enough to not attack a poor, defenseless, disease ridden out of work actor.

He was right on target, his point he was making was the MJF was stating that if a certain candidate was elected that stem cell research would be illegal.First of all stem cell research is being done in Missouri and the candidate has no intentions of changing that and second of all,the propostition MJF is pushing for is for cloning not stem cell research. So MJF was stating false notions and he also supports Carden who was against stem cell research..,so which does MJF want for or against cell research and for cloning?

He is paid to say stupid, idiotic things, to be controversial - sort of the flip side of Howard Stern. The more ignorant things said, the more listeners he gets. So, considering he is a drug addicted big mouth with no ability to empathize with people less fortunate than him ( able to be overpaid for being stupid ) we still have to appreciate this is a country enjoying freedom of speech - even if it is hurtful, hateful and selfish. I felt long ago he should be banished to a 7/11 store to work. He is proof that the FCC will do nothing against the conservative talking heads on the radio.

i think he is correct. i agree that the democrats saying if you dont vote for me, your disease wont get cured, you could die is the height of irresponsibility. how dare they make these claims and give people that are ill or have sick children false hope. its horrible and all in the name of getting votes.

we do support this research. the president has given millions if not billions for this. here in calif we voted to support this research so dont tell me it is not being researched. oh, and lets not forget the private sector and investors who also do research.

why do they ignore other progress on cures?

Mr. Fox should not have used his illness to promote a personal agenda.

He's just as right about this as he was when he said the media wanted to pretend Donovan McNabb was a good quarterback simply because he is black.
