Rearrange the words: 8a³ - 4a - 6a² + 3 component like words: 4a(2a² - a million) - 3(2a² - a million) finally, team the traditional factors of 2a² - a million and assemble the words: (4a - 3)(2a² - a million) [B] i'm hoping this facilitates!

try to arrange it like this:
8a^2+4a+6a-3
4a(2a+1)+3(2a+1)
then factor
(4a+3)(2a+1)
an equation must have an equal sign.and this looks like a quadratic equation,so it should be equal to 0!
therefore;(4a+3)=0, or (2a+1)=0 a=1/2 or a=3/4

If an equation contains + & - signs or X & / signs only then work from left to right.
If there are more than 2 sign types use BIDMAS
Brackets
Indices
Divide
Multiply
Add
Subtract.
Never forget the rules they make life easier.

If you have written it down wrong so that:
8a^2 + 6a + 4a = 3
And you want an answer, then:
8a^2 + 10a - 3 = 0
Use the quadratic formulae:
http://www.worldofphp.com/index.php?page=view&id=8b8bc1657&name=equation5.gif
a = 8
b = 10
c = -3
That will give you two answers to your equasion, if you wrote it down wrong, then i am sorry - but i have tried my best to answer your question!

first, add like terms
8a^2 + 10a-3
then it's simples: what works reversing the FOIL method (first, outside, inside, last)
obviously, the 3 break down into this:
(_a + 3)(_a-1)
(2a + 3)(4a-1)

What you gave us is NOT an equation! An equation has one of these things:
"="
They're called equal signs.
