My exboyfriend & I broke up almost 2 months ago. We decided to stay friends. He has a new girlfriend in his life. I have no one. My ex & I text message each other back & forth a lot, but rarely actually talk or see each other. I can tell that he fell very hard for his new girlfriend. He tells me how inlove he is & they're going to be moving in together soon. They're even talking about marriage some day. So, he calls me this morning out of the blue. As we're talking he made a comment about him and me getting back together in the future. I told him that there's NO WAY I'll ever get back with him & I mean it. He lied to me in the past & I have definite trust issues with him. I told him that he's inlove with his girlfriend, not me. He says, well maybe someday. I told him no again! So, I ask him if his girlfriend & I walk into a room at the same time, who would he go up & hug first? He said his gf. I said, well there's your answer. Why is he acting like this when he loves her, not me?

Some people will take advantage of you if you allow it.

I give you lots of kudos for the way you responded to him so far. You sound like a very healthy woman!!! I AM PROUD OF YOU!!!

He's been together with the girl for only 2 months right? Why are they already talking about moving in? Are you sure your ex and his gf really are talking about that?...What if your ex was just trying to make you jealous because he thinks you still like him? Maybe he's telling you that he loves his current gf so much and all this other stuff because he thinks if he makes you jealous youll want him back?...Does this make sense?

Not good. His behavior sounds like he really does not know what he wants. He's not being on the up-n-up either, because obviously his GF would not like it if she knew what he said to you.
He's wrong, plain and simple, and you're getting caught up in it. I hope you're not somehow hanging on to him, even if you say you don't want him back.
Probably best that could happen for you and for him is to break off communication. It may seem harmless to you to keep in touch, but it has a real potential to cause hurt to his GF and possibly yourself as well....

Hope you step back and take a real look at whats goin' on.

Good luck.

You need to get this guy out of your life completely. Stop text-messaging him. Stop talking to him. You know it's the right thing to do.

He's an ex...why bother to even think about why he does or doesnt do something. Move on. Perhaps you should limit contact with him.

Sounds like things are moving too fast with the new girl and he's getting scared and confused.

I would guess that he's probably trying to trick you into believing he has feelings for you on the chance that you will give him some sex on the side.
