My favorite object in school? The vase on my third grade teacher's desk. It held a fresh flower, every day of the school year, and they were continually changing. She had daisies, lupus, geraniums, nasturtiums, honeysuckle (that made the whole room smell sweet), tulips, daffodils, hydrangea -- if we asked, she'd tell us what they were, but they weren't presented as part of a lesson, just as a simple object that gave pleasure to everyone in the room.
Are you having trouble differentiating between a subject and an object? Or did you really want to know what my favorite object was.

The first would have to be walking past the school gate on the way out. Plus the shrill of the fire alarm which meant we had to leave the class room.
I loved painting.
