Well, I had similar problem before and it turned out that the fan to my CPU was not working. All that I had to do was to replace the fan and everything started working again.

Do you notice any common things whenever your PC freezes? What I mean is, are you doing certain things or is the computer running certain program whenever it freezes? Have you tried running your computer in Safe Mode to see what is going on?

Try this. Go to Display Properties. Click SETTINGS. Click ADVANCED. Click TROUBLESHOOTING.
There, you will see a Hardware Acceleration Slider Bar. Move the slider one notch to the left. Then restart and use your computer and see if it freezes again. If it doesn't, you're good to go. If it does freeze again, then go back and move the notch to the next position on the left. Keep doing this until your computer no longer freezes. Don't worry if you have to move it all-the-way to the left, none of this will affect your actual performance, only the way certain 'parts' speak to each other. This will almost always fix a computer that freezes alot though... good luck :-)

It could be an overheating problem, keep ur cabinet in a well ventilated place.
It could also be a ram module problem, try another ram module, or if urs works properly on another comp.
Also try scanning for spyware and trojans. Try Ewido antispyware. Its really good.
Last alternative is to reinstall windows after formatting ur drive.
Cheers

Make sure your memory is locked into the dimm slots. If you can try and use a different piece of RAM. Make sure that you have decent airflow in the case and that the cpu fan is working.

That's usually the cpu overheating. You need to check the airflow inside your case. You may need to reapply the thermal paste on the cpu, or clean out or replace the fan/heatsink.
