He just visited a Dr. and he said it was probably nothing to worry about but he sent him to have an ultrasound, and some blood tests, why could that be?

My mom had one of those on her neck too. They did an ultrasound just to be sure and then operated on it. It turned out to be benign so she doesn't have to worry about cancer. (they took it out cuz it was looking weird is all) The tests are just so they are sure there's nothing wrong with you. Wait for the reults.. It's the only way you'l know for sure what it is. Don't let people tell you it could be cancer and scare you. I hope all goes well with your husband. Good luck!

Because the doctor is covering his ***. It may indeed be nothing to worry about, but there are other things it could be, none of which are good. So he is having your husband tested to make sure.

It is good to do the ultrasound, because you just never know what it is so that way your husband can find out.

Lumps are not a good thing. My son (11) had a lump on his shin which we attributed to a hockey puck injury...turned out to be cancer.

Lumps are only two things, non-malignant tumours or malignant tumours. If it's a soft lump you might be lucky and have it be just a cyst. I sure hope it's just that.

Good luck.
