The campus is University of Louisiana at Lafayette (used to be called Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute, Southwestern Louisiana Institute, and University of Southwestern Louisiana) It is said that a girl was killed by or in an elevator in Harris Hall (possibly decapitated by the elevator.) They call her Lily. People have said she is a young, white girl, five feet tall, & has brown-blonde shoulder length hair. Another death was said to have occured in Huger Hall when a girl committed suicide (possibly hung herself.) Others say there were 2 suicides back to back in that same hall. There are other occurances such as doors opening by themselves in Evangeline Hall and voices being heard in Randolph Hall.There is also an occurance that takes place in Bonin Hall when someone knocked at a student's door and a voice coming from a vanishing source shouted her name and then whispered "believe now?"

These stories have been going around the girls' dorms and this campus for years. They are also on websites. I know the timing is a little coincidental being around Halloween and all but our school's newspaper has put out an article on these hauntings and witness testimony.

Someone is playing tricks. Disembodied spirits do not talk. Hidden speakers and mikes do talk. Before you start believing, have a sighting that goes with the sound and see for yourself.

I love it when people spread these stories, they always seem to come out around Holloween. oouuuuuuuuuuuu!! Scary?

omg that story has traveled the world how funny that was the same story they told me in college in Miami and someone told my cousin that the same thing happened in her apt. building in Detroit it's b/s don't fall for it

ok, well, although i don't think that stuff is true .. you could probably try to find records somewhere .. like a city hall in that town?
