Disrespectful children need disipline, how you disipline your children is up to you! My daughter is spoiled, toys and things she wants, but she also knows her manners. She has been taught since she was old enough to understand that people respond better to a well behaved child. Yes, she does have her whiny points, but all in all, she is a very good, spoiled girl!
As far as other children go, if they can't respect other people, I will show them less respect than a child who is polite and has good manners. I treat children like anyone else. They really are just little grown ups!

I think that people who cannot control their children should be made to give them up to people who could...think that's called 'ward of the court' or something; and I think that there's way too much effort spent on children's self-esteem and not enough on teaching them right from wrong and decent morals. If children are not corrected when they are young for fear of 'making them feel bad' (why correct them if they don't feel bad?) you raise a generation of psychotic kids, who think they should have whatever they want, whenever they want it. My nephew, who has 'development problems' (his grandmother's term) is 11, and last Christmas, was allowed to dictate his grandfather's itinerary and time spent on a Christmas visit to his Great-grandmother -because he didn't want to be away from his BOWFLEX! I know I don't want to be in the same town with them when he discovers that the whole world doesn't turn on him - he's gonna be at the mall with a shotgun or something! Or be one of those kids who kills everyone around him because he can't get his own way (you see them all the time in the papers these days!)

I can't stand to be around them and I want to slap the parents that made them that way. They need to be taken out behind the wood shed for a few hours(the parents that is).

Beat them until they are unspoiled. But be careful not to leave any marks. The parents are also to blame that they child is that way. They need discipline and responsibility to keep them in check. :O)

Their parents were bad examples and simply didn't raise them well. (not all of the time but MOST of the time that is true)
Disrespectful loudmouth lazy parents raise disrespectful loudmouth lazy children.

i'm not crazy about them, but i think the lack of family and family activities has a lot to do with it. also the lack of discipline at home and in school.the kids are a result of actions or non actions in their lives

That they should be locked up, or send them all to Africa, or somewhere poor, so they can start realizing that being spoiled is wrong.
