what do you think about the book In My Hands by Irene Gut Opdyke?

I love that book. It is one of my favorite autobiographies. I thought she did a very good job in describing what everyday life was like during World War II. The fear and danger one had to learn to live with on a daily basis.

Since the Author refers to the woman as 'the mother' one would assume the bird is a Baby wrapped in a blanket. Sounds like a depressing book :/
