As a matter of fact, yes. There's my favorite BBQ joint that knows I want their pork steak, fried okra, baked beans and unsweetened iced tea. They grill the very thick pork steak for hours and use a special dry rub. I had about everything on their menu before settling on this. It's a tradition now. Occasionally, there is a new server and I just tell them to ask the cook. It's not that funny, but it is a neat experience. I love that place.

I try all different places, not enough for them to get to know me.
But when I was still in the restaurant in the midwest, I knew the people from AZ who would visit family, and they wanted prime rib. The couple from San Diego always wanted the pork tenderloins. A couple from a neighboring town would come in and I knew he wanted two martinis and a glass of white zin for her. I'd have them on the table before they were barely seated.

I love being known, especially as a good tipper. That sticks in your brain!

Like those acquaintances of mine they go into this position referred to as Martin's like 6 out of seven days of the week and order an same component each and each and every time so as quickly as they inter the door the cashier ask even if that is the favourite and they say sure then she earrings it up. And it does not count number even if it really is breakfast or lunch time.
