Best Buy: $299.99
Circuit City: $299.99
Costco (bundle has more stuff): $499.99
I think the 299.99 is going to be the general amount. but if it goes on same in like 2 weeks they will give you the difference as long as you have your receipt. so that is good.
better price for the holiday? ummm maybe like 249.99 but then you have to deal with the crowds so that is a personel choice. hope this helped!

Microsoft's retail strategy involves two different configurations of the Xbox 360: the Xbox 360 SKU, frequently referred to as the Xbox 360 Premium Package and an Xbox 360 Core System SKU. At launch, the Xbox 360 was priced at US$399 and the Core System was priced at US$299. The Core System is not currently available in Japan, but will be released on November 2, 2006. In Australia and New Zealand a Media Remote was included as a substitution for the Xbox Live headset in the Xbox 360 Package

mostlikely the system will go down, but not by much, they have a core system for 299, and the premium for 399. if it does go down at all its just to compete with sony since, well, its sony. they still own the market on gaming at the moment, but the wii is definately on the right track. i think nintendo and sony are going to be the big winners for years to come.
