I stopped have a period as April 23, 2006. I usually have my cycle during the last week of the month. For four months I had no cycle and started to experience symptoms of pregnancy...nausea, frequent urination, breast tenderness, gassy, lack of energy..., I contributed a lot of money to the pregnancy testing industry. Each one was negative. I had bleeding in August, September, and now in October, but they're irregular, they're at the wrong times of the month and much lighter than my usual cycles. Now, 6 months after this all began, I'm still having the syptoms, which also include back pain, headaches (bad sometimes), a strong desire to eat at times and a less desire at others, strange cravings (ex: a toasted peanut butter and potato chip sandwich), very emotional, swollen feet, protruding belly (or else I'm just getting fat), etc...
What's going on with me? Oh, and I've been to 2 doctors. One did a urine test. The other did urine and blood. All negative! Thanks for any help.

You are not pregnant. Keep reminding yourself of that.
That's why your pregnancy tests have back "negative." Something else might possibly be wrong, however, and it could be many different things, such as a hormonal imbalance, a thyroid condition, endometriosis (unlikely), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), an ovarian cyst, an infection, cancer, etc.
You should get a pap smear, cervical cultures, blood work, and a pelvic exam to see if something is wrong. I suggest you go to a good gynecologist and/or an internal medicine specialist. (Just forget the idea you are pregnant, is all and focus on your own health).
You don't mention your age, but if you are in your late 40s, it could be menopause. Also, some women get early menopause in their late 30s even.

You are not "passing" a pregnancy test because you are not pregnant. Go back to the doctor that did the urine and blood for you. You need to talk more about your desire to be pregnant, your feelings of being pregnant and symptoms....Mind over matter. Call and make an appointment to talk with your doctor and get the facts.

Get an ultrasound done and get some more opinions from doctors. Sounds like there's something going on that could be hormonally related. Possibly PCOS. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome can cause pregnancy-like symptoms. Do some research on it and see if any of the symptoms apply to you: weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc. Talk to your doctor about this, too. This is an emerging syndrome that most doctors miss. They just aren't looking for it.

What you need to do is goto see a doctor, something could be wrong. You should not assume that everything is OK!!!
Pregnancy test are pretty accurate however, a blood test is 100% accurate and this is what the doctor would do for you. Are you taking the test correctly? If yes, then you should have a positive result unless you are not pregnant. Good Luck!!!

I am sorry but I don't think you are pg,
although the symptoms are similar
it sounds as though you are experiencing
some hormonal problems.
Has your dr suggested any other blood tests or investigations.
I am surprised he hasn't.
It could also be a sign of PMS (premenstral syndrome) a common and normal part of being a woman(sadly).
There is a lot you can do about it.
Please go and speak to your doctor and have them do some further investigations.
I don't think it sounds very serious.
best of luck : )

Well first off, you are not pregnant... you have all negative tests, and 2 doctors say you are not. I think you are stressing about it, and these symptoms are in your imagination... You just need to come to the fact you are not pregnant, and things may get more normal for you. Also periods get abnormal or disappear for more than just getting pregnant.

It is obvious you are not pregnant, I think your concern needs to be why are you not having a normal cycle instead of why can't you pass a pregnancy test, something is going on with your health, you need to focus on that
God bless

Have the doctor check your hormones, Kidneys, and Thyroid level. This doesn't sound like a pregnancy thing to me.

Something tells me you're not pg and just having hormone trouble. You need to have your thyroid checked, etc. I would ask for a full blood work up because something isn't right with you.

your telling yourself that you are pregnant and that is causing your body to act pregnant. You should just stop thinking that you are and ask the doctor to put you on the pill. To regulate your period. Good luck .
