Every retail store I go to and ask about the PS3. They act dumb like they don't even know what it is. It's either "Ummm, we cant say", "We dont know", or "Just keep calling everyday". I don't get it, I'm a consumer that's trying to buy a product. What's so top secret about the Playstation 3!?!

i think it's top secret because it comes with a built in toaster oven or something. they are going to change gaming as we know it. because we don't need to leave just so we can snack.

I have to assume you are asking them when they will get it, how many they will get, and/or when are they going to start presales.
The sad thing is they probably don't know because Sony is so disorganized. The Nov. 17 launch date might not be right, they are not going to hit the goal of a million units by year end, and they cant even get the necessary parts for the Blu-Ray to hit their mfg mark. I bet they wont ever hit the 400,000 mark for the launch.
No big secret, Sony is just Stupid.

well, the thing is that if you're talking about gamestop or eb games. then they are dumb, not playing dumb and it has nothing to do with the ps3. i tried asking them about this thing called hd loader/ hd advanced. (look it up if you want more info) and they acted like i was asking plans on how to make a dirty bom or something. they suck. i'd just as soon wait till it comes out and take my chances getting one at walmart or target, since eb's only got 10% and since eb's owns gamestop..they gotta divide the 10% amongst themselves. if you want to know anything or everything about the ps3. i'll put some links.

Sony hasn't said yet when it can be preordered, so until they say it they won't be sold. They have, however said there will only be 400,000 sold as preorders and in stores in the US, and then by January 2007 they will have 1,000,000 here in stores. All I can say is wait until you can find a place that is selling them. I mean the Nintendo Wii, supposed to be here November 14, isn't preordering yet, and it will come out before the PS3, which is supposed to be here November 19.
